Christ's Mass Poems

Here I try to gather some Christian takes on Christ's Mass.

  1. Milton: On the morning of Christ's nativity
  2. Eliot: Journey of the Magi
  3. Eliot: The Cultivation of Christmas Trees
  4. Donne: Nativity

And finally some prayers for Christmas Day.

I wish everyone who reads this blog (or not!) a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Note:  I have deliberately used the phrase "Christ's Mass" to underline the point that these are poems about Christ's nativity and not the popular and secular "happy, holiday season". I do not have anything against everyone enjoying Christmas in any way they feel appropriate but I do dislike the rampant consumerism that pervades (and traduces) this  time of year.
